Barclays Raises Targa Resources Price Target to $294, Analysts Highlight Permian Potential

Sun, October 18, 2026

Barclays has raised its price target on Targa Resources (NYSE: TRGP) to $294 while maintaining an Overweight rating, according to a report published this week. This adjustment underscores Barclays’ confidence in Targa’s robust growth opportunities, especially across its Permian Basin infrastructure operations.

This development follows a series of bullish analyst revisions for the stock. In mid‑September, Truist Securities reiterated its Buy rating with a $345 target, while TD Cowen raised its target to $350 and upgraded to Buy. Morgan Stanley had also maintained an Overweight stance with a $359 target, and Mizuho held an Outperform rating at a $320 target. These cumulative bullish actions reflect broad-based confidence in Targa’s strategic positioning and growth trajectory.

The analyst optimism comes amid a backdrop of sustained volume growth and operational execution in the Permian region, which is central to Targa’s gathering and processing operations. There were no new company-specific announcements this week. Instead, this cluster of positive analyst outlooks represents the most material development for investors, reinforcing Targa’s midstream infrastructure strength.

Targa Resources’ stock is currently trading at approximately $294.90, reflecting a gain of 3.17% as of October 16.

Moving forward, investors will likely watch for further volume updates from Permian operations, updates on the company’s 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance, and any new strategic announcements. The sustained optimism from major financial institutions signals continued confidence in Targa’s ability to capitalize on Permian growth without relying on speculative catalysts.
